Al-Salam Bank – Bahrain
  • Provisioned the delivery of newly developed applications throughout the entire development life cycle.
  • Performed and participated in general product technical assessments, security assessments and audit sessions.
  • Initiated projects, elicited, and analyzed business requirements to generate requests for proposals, business requirement documents, and business cases.
  • Extensively participated in building SharePoint document libraries, library metadata, web parts, and OData APIs to integrate with third-party applications.
  • Extensively utilized Microsoft Azure Infrastructure to simulate proposed setups to envision the outcomes of new projects.
  • Initiated and developed a public portal, known as “Apply at Home”, incorporating dynamic features to support ad-hoc changes given by the business to generate potential leads showing interest in any of bank’s products using .NET MVC 5 with Entity Framework.
  • Developed the integration between the bank’s core banking system and the Anti-Money Laundering system, as well as Refinitiv World Check to provide the list of sanctioned entities.
  • Initiated, proposed, and built the overall data warehouse architecture to store core banking data, electronic fund transfers, Skiplino, retail branches activities, Kiosk terminals, corporate KYC updates, and application portfolio role-based access controls (RBAC).
  • Initiated and led the implementation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Service (EFTS) reports to comply with CBB’s (Central Bank of Bahrain) reporting mandates.
  • Utilized Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint Online to build a document management system serving Credit Admin & Trade Finance departments featuring bulk-upload capabilities, auto-routing of documents across different SharePoint sites, standardized naming conventions of documents, and efficient search capabilities across all business units.
  • Collaborated with the Innovation department to introduce AWS data lake setup utilizing S3 bucket, as well as Athena and Glue to serve a variety of reporting and archiving requirements.
  • Contributed to building the reconciliation report for migrated core static data (Customers & Accounts), in response to the successful transaction of acquiring Ithmar retail operations.
  • Responsible for the success of migrating Ithmar bank’s retail BCRB (Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau) data, including consumer loans, housing loans, as well as credit card overdues to Al Salam’s Benefit subscription.
  • Responsible for integrating Al Salam’s Risk Assessment System with the core banking system to provide actual corporate risk rates in a live manner.
  • Rolled out cost-effective Corporate KYC update solution utilizing Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online to seamlessly reflect recent data from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism (Sijilat) on corporate records, making Al Salam the second bank in Bahrain to auto-update their corporate KYCs regularly.

Senior Web Developer

Kuwaiti Manager Co. (KMC) – Saudi Arabia
  • Worked on scrum methodology to meet timelines and fostered the adoption of it. Azure boards were used to define epics and user stories, whereas GIT repositories were used to manage changes in sources codes.
  • Utilized ASP.NET forms and Bootstrap 4.0 to design and develop the VIP Lane system to integrate with Oracle 10g legacy system and capture records for membership cards, smart cards and diplomatic passports as three distinct travelling documents.
  • Worked closely with the Department of Studies to accurately calculate the crossing time estimates on King Fahd’s bridge using Google Directions API and set up well-defined KPI’s to ensure the smoothness of the travelling process.
  • Worked closely with Revival (outsourced company) to develop integration points between King Fahd Causeway Authority’s public website and the VIP Lane records, Toll Gate records, and Google crossing time estimates using Web API 2.0.
  • Appointed as a team leader to design and develop the Help Desk system for the IT department, ensuring the availability of insightful reports to measure the performance of IT staff on the Bahraini and Saudi sides of the bridge.
  • Worked closely with KPMG (Saudi Arabia) to audit and report in-house applications, assessing their vulnerabilities, optimizing their performance and security through stress/penetration tests.
  • Used ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, SQL Server procedures, functions and Linked server objects to develop a KPI Dashboard that measures the performance of all departments, including Finance, Projects and HR departments.
  • Developed a consolidated web service to integration King Fahd Causeway Authority’s mobile app with their internal legacy systems, including customer service and toll gate management system (TGMS).
  • Applying best security practices; importing and using SSL on IIS websites, SQL-injection prevention using SQL parameters, mobile MAC address filtering, logging local/global IP addresses for statistical purposes, and enforcing JWT tokenization.

After his master degree certification, I initiated a research project with him to solve an extension case of his master research topic. We succeeded to publish a paper in an ISI American journal:
